Solar Panels

scrosroofing Danny's Thoughts

Bad Idea, at least from where we stand on the topic.  We tell our customers if you decide to install solar panels on the brand new roof we just installed, than you will 100% VOID all your manufacture and labor warranties for those roof sections.  Hardly worth it in my view, mount them on the ground.  If you had a roof leak, we couldn’t even get to the issue anyways.

More and more homeowners are looking into this energy saving option nowadays. I still would recommend other energy saving home improvements other than covering your entire roof with solar panels.

NOTE: Make sure to talk to your roofing contractor and product manufacture as to how installing solar panels on your roof will effect your warranty.
